RLabs Innovation Lab is an expansion of the existing RLabs with a strong focus on modeling its innovation processes for future replication. The RLabs Innovation Lab currently partners with a variety of international organizations, private companies and public sector partners to develop solutions to drive social change. RLabs creates and provides spaces in communities for cocreation events and workshops that connect community members with the networks and resources to solve some of the social challenges impacting the community.
Venture Studio is the incubation programme for RLabs initiated ventures, providing a 1 year incubation support programme, with the goal of launching them within that period. The goal here is to build high impact enterprises that lead to job creation.

JUNK.Fund is an initiative that was started as an experiment at RLabs, where we wanted to know if staff would sacrifice having junk food and invest their money in an entrepreneur. We started inviting staff to invest in the fund using the money they would usually use to spend on junk food (fast food). This fund is used to invest in and to offer support to a new female entrepreneur each month. The investor (depending on the size of the investment) will have a chance to nominate an entrepreneur as a recipient. Funds are paid out monthly and the entrepreneur has to attend our SME Boost sessions with the Junk.Fund team.
